Humber’s General Arts and Science Pathways Programs

Dear Students, Guidance Counsellors, and Advisors:

Humber’s General Arts and Science Pathways Programs are great choices for students who have not yet decided on their field of future study or who want to improve their skills before moving on to another college or university program. If students want maximum flexibility and maximum transfer credits to other institutions, then the right fit is important. We have four programs, each designed to match students’ interests and educational needs.

University and College Transfer Certificate* (OCAS program 09191 or 0918—same program)                               

This certificate is a two-semester foundational program for students who want to go on to further diploma or degree-level study at Humber College or numerous other colleges and universities, including York University. Check out Humber’s own degree programs too--with this certificate, students can gain admission and get transfer credits too.  Students in this program can also transfer into the 2^nd year of the University Transfer Diploma after completion of the certificate. 

University Transfer Diploma* (OCAS program 09111)

This diploma is a four-semester program for students who want to go on to degree-level study in the humanities, liberal arts, or social sciences. We have strong diploma to degree (“D to D”) transfer agreements with numerous universities, including University of Toronto, York University, and many others (see the full list at humber.ca/transferoptions). Students who complete the two year diploma improve their educational skills, maximize their university choices, and can earn more than a year of transfer credits for degree-level study.
